An OFS Console connects directly to factory equipment and is capable of interfacing with many signals, such as units through a machine, pallets ejected, splice signals and more. Typically a main unit counter is connected from the machine, along with an “inhibit” mechanism.

The OFS software is connects and integrates with a variety of business systems. Typically information such as a job schedule and job details are received from the business systems directly into the OFS Consoles. Operators then follow the schedule within OFS as it is laid out by the factory planner. As each job is manufactured, OFS is able to update the business system in real time with progress information. This feedback loop is a critical item in all aspects of customer service, from assisting the planner in producing accurate schedules through to providing customers with up to date information regarding order status.
